An exhibition of manga-style drawings by Akino Kondoh, a New York-based artist, will be held at IMS. The first retrospective of the artist features approximately 50 works including illustrations and animations. Kondoh observes the world with a unique and delicate point of view and projects themes such as childhood memories and abstract feelings to her mysterious and slightly scary illustrations. Tickets for a talk session on Oct. 13 have been sold out, but everyone is welcome to the opening reception on Oct. 12 (*reservation not required).
