Kukinoumi Fireworks Festival
One of Kitakyushu’s signature fireworks festivals, this event takes place over Dokai Bay beneath the iconic Wakato Bridge. Around 4,500 fireworks are launched from barges on the bay, creating the dramatic spectacle unique to a waterfront display. Reflections of light shimmering across the water add to the event’s unforgettable atmosphere.
