Kunenan is a villa and garden built over nine years during the Meiji era by Saga’s prominent businessman, Itami Yataro. It is open to the public for just nine days during the autumn foliage season. The vibrant maple leaves reflecting on the garden’s water surface, coupled with the naturally grown moss, create a stunning contrast of red and green. Many visitors are drawn to this serene setting, seeking a world of traditional Japanese beauty and tranquility.
