Kyushu University invites the public to explore Asia through tourism, local communities, culture, the environment and social issues—not simply as a subject of academic research. Launched in 2020 and now in its seventh edition, this open program welcomes students, researchers and the wider public. This year’s theme is “Co-Creating the Future in Asia”
Seminars, poster presentations by early-career researchers and activities related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will take place across university campuses and online. The program ranges from specialist discussions to hands-on cultural experiences, with many sessions conducted in English. Participants can connect with researchers, students and cultures from across Asia while staying in Fukuoka.
• Nov 2: The opening program includes a session exploring the future of tourism in Kyushu.
• Nov 7: “Vande Nippon” offers Indian dance and music, henna experiences and opportunities to try on a sari.
