Witness an enchanting apparition at Fukuoka Castle, where a majestic structure, inspired by the historical castle tower, emerges on the tenshudai (castle tower base)! This installation, approximately 14 meters high, is set against the backdrop of the castle’s nationally designated historic site, adorned with remnants of turrets, gates, and stone walls. The tower is brilliantly illuminated, offering a mesmerizing display known as the “Illusive Tenshukaku.” This spectacle features a dynamic array of lights that change colors and patterns, creating a captivating visual experience that varies with each passing moment.
The illumination is a highlight of the Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival, which runs from March 27 to April 7, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a blend of historical resonance and contemporary light artistry, celebrating both the past and the present in a truly magical setting.
