Summer’s annual Night at the Aquarium returns with extended opening hours until 21:00, offering visitors the chance to experience the aquarium in a more atmospheric setting after dark. As night falls, the exhibits take on a different character, creating a distinctly different experience from a daytime visit.
From 18:00, the aquarium’s lighting changes, revealing a new side of its tanks and marine life. Seasonal highlights include the popular Sardine Show, where approximately 20,000 sardines swim in sync with music and lights, and a dolphin show performed against the backdrop of Hakata Bay at sunset and after dark. Visitors can remain in the aquarium until closing with a regular admission ticket. Front-row reserved seating for the shows is also available for an additional fee with advance reservation.
