For nine days, all around Hakata and Tenjin will be decorated with flowers. Along walking routes between Hakata Station, Tenjin and Maizuru Park, 50,000 tulips and seasonal flowers in full bloom can be seen. At the main venue, Fureai Hiroba on the west side of Fukuoka City Hall, there will be flower beds created by citizens, a gardening contest, and food and beverage booths including popular bakeries and cafes.
One Flower One Citizen is an initiative that brings together residents, businesses, and local government. The project aims to utilize the beauty of plants in an effort to promote Fukuoka City’s values and enduring charm. Gorgeous flowers and plants can be found at every turn as you stroll through the center of the city!
