For nine days, all around Hakata and Tenjin will be decorated with flowers. Along the walking route between Hakata Station and Maizuru Park, 50,000 tulips and seasonal flowers in full bloom can be seen. At three venues, Hakata Station, Canal City Hakata and Kego Park, artwork using flowers will be exhibited and a gardening contest will be held. One Flower One Citizen is an initiative that brings together residents, businesses, and local government. The project aims to utilize the beauty of plants in an effort to promote Fukuoka City’s values and enduring charm. Gorgeous flowers and plants can be found at every turn as you stroll through the center of the city!
