A nine-day annual spring festival transforms Hakata and Tenjin into a citywide celebration of flowers. Centered on Tenjin Central Park, the event fills central Fukuoka with seasonal blooms. One of the main highlights is a route lined with around 50,000 tulips stretching from Hakata Station to Maizuru Park, creating a bright spring atmosphere for anyone strolling through the city.
At the square in front of the Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Kihinkan, flower beds created by local residents will be displayed alongside a gardening contest. Kitchen cars will appear on weekends, and the Kihinkan will be illuminated in pink at night throughout the festival.
