The terraced rice fields of Take district, selected as one of Japan’s top 100 terraced rice fields, offer a magical sight. After the rice planting is completed, about 1,000 handmade torches are lit, casting their reflections on the water’s surface and transforming the entire area into an enchanting landscape. There will also be stalls selling freshly cooked rice from the terraced fields, yakisoba, and local specialties from Toho Village. As there is very little lighting around the venue, be sure to bring a flashlight.
