TAGSTA is a standing-only espresso stand in Haruyoshi popular with creators. Live performances and art exhibitions are held regularly inside the adjacent TAG STA Gallery. From Jan. 7 (Thu.), Ryohei Yamashita, a painter from Fukuoka who continues to draw with strong vitality while pursuing a sense of dynamism, using the motifs of human body forms such as athletes and samurai. He is active in Japan and overseas, creating the official images for the Olympic national sailing team and the interior murals of the Nike Japan Headquarters, and will hold a solo exhibition in Fukuoka for the first time in five years. He will exhibit and sell about 20 original drawings, mainly new works using acrylic paint. The artist is scheduled to be in the hall on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays during the session, and an opening party (drink order required) will be held from 18:00 on Saturday, Jan. 9.
