A one-day marche takes place along the approx. 970-meter Baikoen Greenway (Baikoen Ryokudo), which connects Ropponmatsu and Sasaoka. Held on the same day as the Baikoen Sakura Festival, the cherry tree-lined street in front of Baikoen Danchi becomes a pedestrian-only zone for the occasion.
Small shops and local businesses from the Ropponmatsu area, along with a variety of unique vendors, gather along the greenway. Organized with the cooperation of shop owners and residents who have built close ties within the neighborhood, the event reflects the community’s warm, local character. Visitors can stroll beneath the cherry blossoms while enjoying gourmet food, sweets, and carefully selected goods, transforming this everyday public walkway into a lively community space for the day.
