An annual brewery opening held at Hakata Hyakunengura, the only active sake brewery remaining in Hakata. Visitors can sample freshly brewed sake, seasonal and sparkling varieties, and limited-edition labels available only at the event. A tasting ticket (¥1,200 on the day / includes 10 tabs and a tasting cup) allows for small pours—ideal for comparing different types.
In addition to free amazake, the venue offers sake-friendly foods such as sake manju, tempura-style fish cakes, and simmered oden. Held inside a nationally registered Tangible Cultural Property, the event offers a rare chance to experience Hakata’s sake-making tradition and Japan’s broader sake culture.
