Sentomyo
Held twice a year in July and September at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, the Sentomyo ceremony involves lighting around 1,000 candles placed around the Shinji Pond to comfort the spirit of Tenjin-sama. Candles are also lit along the approach to the shrine, allowing visitors to experience the solemn atmosphere of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine at night.
