Setsubun at Kushida Shrine
The smiling face of the Otafuku lady is believed to bring luck to the visitors who walked through her mouth around setsubun (beginning of spring) day in Japan. On February 3, Setsubun ritual will be held between 10:00 to 16:00, with the New Year’s man and woman throwing beans from a special stage. This year, kabuki actor Ennosuke Ichikawa will join the event in the morning.
