Japan’s top skateboarders will compete for national titles at the new Boat Race Fukuoka Tenjin Street Park in Tenjin. Opening on Oct 30, the venue houses one of Japan’s largest indoor skateboarding facilities and brings together skateboarding, art and café culture. The championships will be the second event in its opening program.
Competition covers two disciplines: street, where skaters perform tricks on stairs, rails and other features modelled on urban spaces; and park, which takes place on a bowl-shaped course with curved surfaces.

• 7th: Semifinals
• 8th: Finals
Street performances, workshops and festival stalls will also be offered on the 7th and 8th, adding to the attractions beyond the competition.
