Ayubowan Sri Lanka Tea Festival 2025

START: Apr 18, 2025 END: Apr 20, 2025

A cultural exchange event where Sri Lankans and Japanese residents of Kyushu come together to enjoy food, music, and dance. Over three days, visitors can experience Sri Lankan culture in Fukuoka through traditional cuisine, performances of dance and music by Sri Lankan students, and a market featuring Sri Lankan herbs, spices, and other specialty products.
The theme of the event is “Ayubowan,” a common Sri Lankan greeting that means “long life.” Often used with palms pressed together, it can be used in many situations—from saying hello and goodbye to expressing gratitude.
