Come together for the Sumiyoshi Festival, a local event designed to strengthen community ties among the diverse residents of Sumiyoshi—be they in old single-family homes, apartments, or condominiums. Initiated by community volunteers, the festival takes place at the iconic Sumiyoshi Shrine, a gathering spot steeped in history. Local businesses and residents set up food courts, and entertainers and artists connected to Sumiyoshi showcase their talents. The event aims to be an annual gathering where people who live or work in Sumiyoshi can meet face-to-face. Returning for the first time in four years since the pandemic, this is a must-attend community festival. Visitors from outside the Sumiyoshi area are also warmly welcomed! Spend a leisurely day enjoying tasty food and good company.
