A special exhibition featuring the first printings of books that changed the world with great scientific discoveries will be on display in Kyushu for the first time. First editions of The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin, De revolutionibus orbium coelestium by Nicholas Copernicus, Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica by Isaac Newton and more will be on display at JR Kyushu Hall from approximately 2,000 collections of Kanazawa Institute of Technology. All the books were printed shortly after the invention of the printing press in the mid 15th Century. Entitled “The Wall of Wisdom,” the beautiful interior of the exhibition room is another must-see.
