For two weeks in November the streets of Fukuoka are made more exciting by the odd glimpse of the rikishi (wrestlers), their hulking mass, elegantly fanned top-knot, full kimono and aroma of talcum powder. Watch amateur matches daily from 8:10, yokozuna bouts at 15:55 and don’t miss rikishi in ceremonial wear at 14:15.
