Four huge floats, each 10 m tall, 2.5 t and with 12 traditional flags, are carried through the town during the day. At night, the decorations change to create a “Pyramid of Light”, 309 lanterns in 12 tiers. These are paraded to shouts of “Yoitosa! Yoitosa!” A National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
