This month Hakata Hankyu showcases some of the best food and drink that the Tohoku region offers. A total of 43 eateries will be serving delicious dishes from Akita, Aomori, Fukushima, Iwate, Miyagi, and Yamagata prefectures. Featured items include a seafood bento with “Koishihama Scallop” representing the Sanriku area, and a bento with rare Yonezawa beef, a brand beef with fine marbling. Apple pies made with whole apples from Aomori Prefecture will also be popular.
