2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac, a symbol in Japan of energy, action, and positive change. This exhibition showcases traditional crafts from Fukuoka and Hakata featuring horse motifs. On display are Hakata-ori textiles, Hakata dolls, Hakata hariko papier-mâché, Martiglass, Imajuku dolls, and Hakata okiage reliefs—each crafted as auspicious items for daily life.
