A massive explosion happened in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, in August this year, while the repercussions of the economic crisis caused in part by the new coronavirus spread have just added to the turmoil. With the hope of supporting Beirut’s reconstruction, ten pieces of art by artist Raphaelle Macaron will be exhibited in Fukuoka (with the cooperation of Palestinian culinary researcher Azusa Suga). At the venue, you can enjoy a coffee and see these images of the Middle East, depicting Beirut’s culture and landscape in a comic style.
