First opened in 1977, Bimi is known nationwide for its deep roasted nel drip (flannel cloth filter) coffee. On the first floor, you can buy roasters and coffee beans, and upstairs you can relax in the cafe space. Owner Mitsuko Morimitsu, who took over the shop from the original owner, roasts beans early in the morning three times a week. On hot days she recommends the mazagran, a cold sweetened coffee with a touch of rum and topped with cream. Bimi offers seven types of single-origin straight coffee and five blends. The strong, rich demitasse coffee is also delightful.
Menu: Mazagran ¥700, straight coffee ¥680~900, original blend (5 types) ¥550~800, demitasse coffee ¥700~1,000, fruit cake ¥400, coffee beans ¥750~/100g
*Foreign language menu: None / Cash only / Reservations not required / No smoking
