Fukuoka’s retail and dining scene is set for a significant boost as 18 businesses open their doors at the commercial floors (1-2F) of Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City Bio Square. Alongside the already operational fashion label “N°21”, leather goods brand “Bonaventura”, and florist “Baroque”, an additional 14 establishments are slated to launch on June 8th.

The wines, carefully handpicked from wineries worldwide, are imported through their own channels. For coffee lovers, they roast single-origin beans on-site for the freshest brew. The restaurant accommodates up to 117 guests, with counter seating and terrace seating overlooking the Daimyo Garden City Square. The menu features a range of dishes, from house-made charcoal-grilled hamburgers and steaks to grilled carrots and bone-in fried chicken.

On ground level, you’ll find a well-known pizzeria, carrying on the legacy of its famed namesake, “Da Gaetano,” based in Naples, Italy. This restaurant channels the lively ambiance of Italy and its quintessential pizzerias with its distinctly Italian decor, a fully equipped bar counter, and an authentic wood-fired oven. The venue also offers terrace seating overlooking the plaza and private dining rooms for a more intimate experience.

Asako Iwayanagi Fukuoka, a popular patisserie from Tokyo, brings its delights to western Japan for the first time. Apart from selling baked sweets and fresh confectionery gifts, they also serve lunch and afternoon tea, offering pairings of sweets with tea or alcohol. They’re known for their dazzling parfaits, made with fresh fruits sourced directly from farms across the country.
The homemade gelato and “Parfait Bijou,” made with fresh fruits, are highlights. The fruits used vary by season. Within the Asako Iwayanagi brand, it’s the most popular speciality.
In the front of the shop, there’s a bench area where you can easily get takeout parfaits and crepes, no reservation needed. During bar hours, they serve a range of desserts centered around homemade gelato and drinks, including a Fukuoka-exclusive gelato parfait.
There are a total of 26 seats in the back of the shop, consisting of tables and counters. For the first three months after opening, only Parfait Bijou will be served. From September onwards, they plan to introduce a grand menu including lunch and afternoon tea.
