An obscure Greek philosopher once ruminated that we become more enlightened the further out of the cave we explore. Ibiza is a grand opus against that notion. The deeper you spelunk into this venue, the more universal truths reveal themselves to you. Whether that truth is that Ibiza has about five resident DJs or that this venue boasts one of the largest dance floors in Fukuoka, you will leave this place vibrating on a higher frequency. The layout of the main dance hall is a long cavernous space flanked by VIP seating and a standing bar. The visual effects here are pleasantly overwhelming, imagine looking over an orgiastic dance floor with lasers flying overhead and mind-bending visuals being played on countless television screens. You look to the skies to ask Sky Wizard for forgiveness but all you see is a reverse image of your terrifying visage in the reflection of the huge mirror on the ceiling. Thank goodness there is also a side room aka The Michelin Man room designated for cooling down. A lounge area for lounging and low tempo music playing (reggae, hip hop, lo-fi) will help bring you down from all that madness. Come back to Earth with a cold draft beer (¥500), a delicious specialty cocktail (¥600~¥800) or a bottle of Moet & Chandon if you are feeling like the Monopoly Man. The menu is extensive so you are sure to find whatever wets your whistle. You may be wondering why so many women flock to this place. Could it be the vibe? Could it be the 21:00 to 24:00 window where women can enjoy all you can drink alcohol for free? Or could it be for the female exclusive Powder Room where they can escape the dance floor frenzy? Whatever the reason is, they’re not telling. And honestly who cares? With five resident DJs and monthly guest DJs, you will be having too much fun on the dance floor to ask such silly questions.
