Now Reports

January 2015 Fukuoka Now

The first issue of 2015 kicks off with a look at Fukuoka’s Tastiest Markets – namely “Depachika”, the basement floors of Fukuoka’s four large department stores. On the Snapshot page our intern from New Zealand, Tomo Greer files a report from a Women’s Blindfolded Sumo event and “5th Avenue”, a New York Style Steakhouse in Imaizumi is our featured gourmet destination. Our feature interview is with Bobby Judo who is breaking ground quickly in both local and national media as a bilingual television and radio personality. Read our the full interview and see some of his videos on our website too. January’s event calendar page is chock-a-block with things to do and see, and we also include an announcement for Fukuoka Now’s next big social event – “Fukuoka Now’s Valentine Party!” on Feb. 13. Pick up a hard copy at all the usual spots or download the PDF. For even more goodies – access the Fukuoka Now website. Happy New Year!
