In the aftermath of the recent earthquakes, eight bus companies (including Nishitetsu, Kamenoi Bus, Hita Bus and Oita Bus) are discounting their fares to certain Kyushu onsen areas in an effort to boost tourism. For ¥1,500 one way (¥750 for children and the disabled), customers can take the highway bus to the onsen areas of Oita, Beppu and Yufuin, and also to Kurokawa Onsen. This campaign will last from Jun. 20 (Mon.) to Jul. 15 (Fri.) and is valid on six routes: Fukuoka ~ Oita line, Fukuoka/Fukuoka Airport ~ Beppu line, Fukuoka ~ Beppu/Oita line (each station), Kitakyushu ~ Beppu/Oita line, Fukuoka/Fukuoka Airport ~ Yufuin line and Fukuoka/Fukuoka Airport ~ Kurokawa Onsen line.
