On July 19, Fukuoka Prefecture announced 32 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection. Twenty four of them were found in Fukuoka City, involving nightclub workers, infants, and others. For four consecutive days, the city recorded its highest daily counts since the lifting of the state of emergency. The cumulative total for the city is 501 while a total of 106 cases were reported in Fukuoka Prefecture in the past week (7/13 ~ 7/19.)
