The Fukuoka branch of Teikoku Databank released the results of its corporate sentiment survey, which found that 70% of the businesses in the region, including Okinawa Prefecture, think the consumption tax increase will have a negative effect to one degree or another. They anticipate it will limit consumption. Only 11% of the respondents thought it would have no effect at all.
