Bally’s Corporation, an American entertainment company, announced at a press conference in Fukuoka on March 30 its desire to enter the integrated resort (IR) business with Fukuoka City as a candidate site. The company that operates casinos and racetracks in America announced its intention to locate in Fukuoka City as a candidate despite the fact Fukuoka City has not yet raised its hand and is not on the shortlist of candidate locations being considered by the national government. Bally’s Corporation plans to open in 2028 in the Uminonakamichi Seaside Park area in Fukuoka City’s Higashi Ward, promising an economic ripple effect of 1 trillion yen. Source: TNC
