On 6th February, a dead crow was reported in Fukuoka City, and later confirmed to have tested positive for avian influenza. In response, the Ministry of the Environment designated the areas within a 10 km radius from the recovery site, including Fukuoka City, Kasuga City, Onojo City, Nakagawa City, and part of Kasuya District as areas for increased monitoring of wild birds. This marks the 8th case of avian influenza in the current season, including both domesticated birds such as chickens and wild birds in Fukuoka Prefecture. Source: KBC
