J1 League club Avispa Fukuoka announced it has terminated the contract of head coach Kim Myung-hwi after confirming multiple compliance violations. The decision followed an investigation involving external lawyers after the J.League contacted the club late last year. Kim, who led the team to a 12th-place finish last season, had his contract renewed in November, but the club said it mutually agreed to end the deal effective January 4. Assistant coach Shinya Tsukahara will serve as interim manager. Kim previously faced disciplinary action for repeated harassment and violent behavior while coaching another J.League club. Avispa’s president apologized and said the club would strengthen compliance education to prevent recurrence. Source: Avispa Fukuoka
