BAYFES, the annual music event held each September at Bayside Place Hakata, will stage its first overseas edition in Taipei on Jun 7, 2026. The free-entry event is designed to strengthen cultural and creative exchange between Fukuoka and Taiwan through live performances and artist collaboration.
Organized as a Japan–Taiwan music exchange, the Taipei event builds on connections formed at BAYFES 2025, which featured Taipei-based artist Andr. The initiative aims to deepen ties between the two regions by encouraging reciprocal artist participation and joint programming, with further Taiwan-linked content already planned for BAYFES 2026 in Fukuoka.
“BAYFES in TAIPEI” will take place at Legacy TAIPEI in Huashan 1914 Creative Park, with doors opening at 15:30. The lineup includes Andr and 我是機車少女 I’m difficult from Taipei, alongside Fukuoka artists INO hidefumi (solo), Lil Summer, YOHLU, and 里地帰 (satochiki).
The main BAYFES event will return to Bayside Place Hakata on Sep 5–6, 2026. Programming includes live performances on the Bayside Stage (five acts per day), a DJ zone overlooking the port, and a daily live set aboard a chartered municipal ferry. A pre-event DJ party is also scheduled for Sep 4 at the Hakata Port Tower observation room.
