The Consumer Affairs Agency has issued orders to two Fukuoka-based companies, NJ-ENEX and Anshinrai Home, for misleading representations in solar panel sales. These companies falsely advertised on their websites that they were industry leaders in sales performance and customer satisfaction without sufficient evidence, violating the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations. Investigations revealed that their claims were based on surveys that did not ensure objective research, as they included responses from individuals without purchasing experience. Following the directive, both companies have removed the misleading information from their sites and have committed to preventing recurrences. Source: Consumer Affairs Agency / NHK
