Condominium Sales Up in Kyushu

Sales of apartments in the Kyushu area between January and June 2019 increased by 12% compared to the same period in the previous year. According to a research by a Fukuoka-based company, 3,504 apartments were sold in the seven prefectures of Kyushu during the six-month period. Also, 3,775 (up by 29% from 2018) new apartments were built within the same period. The upcoming consumption-tax hike in Japan is considered to have contributed to the results.
