Container handling at Hakata Port second highest

The number of containers imported and exported via the Port of Hakata in 2016 was 897,000 TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit) which is the second largest after 2014 (910,566 TEU). The number of containers was 2.7% higher than the previous year. In the last 10 years, the number of containers handled in the Port of Hakata has increased by 30%.
