Saga Prefecture announced it would offer ¥100,000 to local couples whose wedding ceremonies were canceled or postponed due to the new coronavirus impact. The plans were announced on June 4, as part of the prefecture’s supplementary budget including a ¥1.7 billion package for anti-coronavirus measures. A total of ¥63 million was appropriated to facilitate the rearrangements of wedding ceremonies scheduled between March to June.
