Elderly Man Arrested for Trespassing in Women’s Restroom at Fukuoka Police HQ

A 77-year-old man claiming to be a cleaner was arrested on April 6th for allegedly trespassing into the women’s restroom at the Fukuoka Prefectural Police Headquarters. The suspect, Norihiko Masuoka, has admitted to the charge, stating he entered “on impulse.”

According to the police report, around 3 PM on April 6th, a male officer spotted Masuoka acting suspiciously inside the headquarters building located in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City. The officer began following him discreetly. Masuoka then entered the women’s restroom on the basement floor. The officer waited outside, apprehending Masuoka as he exited the restroom a few minutes later.

Upon questioning, the 77-year-old admitted to trespassing, telling investigators, “I entered on impulse without any reason.” Masuoka claimed to have access to the police headquarters as a cleaner and was wearing an entrance badge issued by the police at the time of the incident.

However, the police found no evidence of cameras or other recording devices being installed in the women’s restroom during an initial search. Authorities are continuing to investigate the details surrounding Masuoka’s motivations and actions. The brazen trespassing incident has raised serious security concerns at the major police facility. The Fukuoka Prefectural Police have not yet commented on potential disciplinary actions or changes to visitor access protocols at their headquarters. Source: TNC
