The Kyushu Bureau of Economy, Trade, and Industry released the sales results of large retail stores in Kyushu and Okinawa Prefecture for June. Sales rose 2.8% from the year-before period to 121.6 billion yen, the fifth straight monthly increase. The bureau cited the continued impact of the new JR Hakata Station building and sales of energy-saving products.
