From Aug 1, Amu Plaza in JR Hakata City, is offering special discounts to foreigners. These visitors will receive a discount of 5% off purchases in almost all stores and given shopping coupons. Hankyu Department Store, occupying the same building, began the same campaign in April this year. As a part of Amu Plaza’s promotion, Korean pamphlets and a Korean blog are being created. JR Hakata City’s Korean blog has also started offering gift coupons and discount information to increase interest, and they are planning to make Korean pamphlets too.
