The Immigration Bureau released statistics on the number of foreigners entering and leaving Kyushu for the month of March. The statistics for entry showed a 48.9% drop from the year-before period to 40,769 people, due to the earthquake and nuclear accident at Fukushima. The number of foreigners leaving during the same period also fell by 23.6% to 15,651 people.
