Fukuoka Airport Sees Record 12.96 Million Passengers

From April to September, Fukuoka Airport recorded a historic 12.96 million passengers, a rise of 11% year-on-year, spurred by high inbound tourism demand. International travelers made up 4.1 million of this total, an all-time high for the period. With a second runway set to open in March 2025 and a major terminal expansion underway, airport officials expect continued growth. By 2028, the airport plans to expand to 38 international routes, further linking Kyushu with East and Southeast Asia. Source: KBC
