A Fukuoka-based jazz pianist, Kaoru Hashimoto, won an Honorable Mention at the 2020 International Songwriting Competition (ISC.) His composition, “Dawn – Chaos,” was written last year, inspired by the coronavirus pandemic. It was his third participation in the international contest and the second winning of the award.
