Fukuoka-based UPay prepares for the new environmental laws to take effect towards the creation of a plastic-smart society. Beginning in April 2022, companies will be encouraged to reduce the use of plastic straws for better sustainability, and UPay’s rice-made straws are gaining increased attention nationwide.
