Fukuoka City is working with local smaller businesses, universities and financial institutions in and outside Fukuoka to establish the “Fukuoka City IoT Consortium”. The purpose of the consortium is to encourage the development and expansion of IoT (Internet of Things) industries in Fukuoka, and it will offer a range of services, from disseminating relevant information to hosting “match-making events”. The City is currently searching for new members, and the official website will be completed in Oct. 2016. There will be a pre-event on Oct. 3 (Mon.), and a symposium on Oct. 20 (Thu.).
