Fukuoka City selected the children’s institution Wajiro Seishoen as the grand prize recipient in its 25th City Scenery Award for buildings that contribute to the city’s appeal. Prizes were also awarded in four other categories. The judges reviewed the qualifications of 131 buildings. One aspect of Wajiro Seishoen they thought praiseworthy was its harmonization with the surrounding forest. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun
