Regarding the sale of electricity to businesses, five companies including Kyushu Electric Power and its subsidiary formed a cartel with Kansai Electric Power to avoid competing for customers. In response to this issue, the city of Fukuoka has suspended the participation of Kyushu Electric Power and its subsidiary in competitive bidding for projects commissioned by the city.
