Fukuoka City has announced the conclusion of its COVID-19 mass vaccination program at the city office on December 28, due to a decrease in appointment bookings. However, individual vaccinations at local clinics will continue free of charge until the end of March next year. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare plans to transition to a regular vaccination program from April, with partial self-payment for certain age groups and those at high risk of severe illness. This regular vaccination program is expected to start in autumn next year in many municipalities, including Fukuoka City. Source: Fukuoka City / NHK
